Machinery and Equipment Appraisals can be grouped into several larger categories, the largest one is manufacturing and this includes almost every conceivable industry – from metal fabrication to chemistry to bio-tech.  Another large category   is heavy equipment – from dozers to Oil rigs.  Often grouped with heavy equipment is the construction industry. Cranes and Cement plants are examples.  We have found the health care and medical device industry to be so large and specialized that we also include this as a category unto itself.  Beyond this would be the general category.  This could be anything appraising an airplane or a boat to a 100 year old antique piece of machinery.
