We Provide You with accountability when & where it counts
The first question is essential. Why do you need an equipment appraisal? Specifically a Machinery & Equipment prepared by a only by Certified Appraiser? The reason is that only a Certified Appraiser can provide a Certified Report.
Let’s say you own a software company (or a manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail or service business). At some point you will need to borrow money. Time may be of the essence. Nearly all credit lines and SBA loans require an appraisal. But wait! They require it be certified. That means it must be performed by a certified appraiser only.
Perhaps you want to sell your company? If not today, perhaps someday in the future. How can you sell it until you need to know what its worth? You especially need to know what the equipment is worth? Not selling? What about buying? You may be buying for the first time. Or you may be making an strategic acquisition. Th company you want to buy a company probably has heavily depreciated equipment. You will want to re-depreciate. That means a new appraisal. Other reasons? Health issues, retirement and transfer to valued employees or children are other reasons. The key is certification. Otherwise it will not stand up to outside verification, an IRS or a district appraisal court challenge!

We meet the elements of a qualified appraisal pursuant to the SBA’s Standard Operating Procedures for lending purposes and AICPA’s Standards of Valuations #1 for CPAs. Needless to say, a Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraisal Report that is USPAP compliant is of the utmost importance to protect you, your CPA, your broker and others from unsubstantiated and inaccurate values which later can result in a lawsuit.
